When I first set out to find a used cargo van platform to start my own custom buildout, I was standing exactly where you are standing right now.
I spent countless, exhausting hours scrolling through sites like CarGurus, driving out to look at vehicles that turned out to be completely beat up in person, and dealing with the typical high-pressure games of shady used car dealers. It felt like you had to be a master detective just to figure out if a van was going to fall apart the minute you drove it home.
I kept thinking to myself: There has to be a better way to do this.
As I dug deeper into how the commercial vehicle industry actually operates, I uncovered the secret lifecycle of cargo vans and how the public auction system works. I started to wonder—is there a way for everyday builders to intercept the system early? Can we get access to the premium, single-owner fleet vehicles before they get sent to public auctions and flipped by generic used car lots?
From that single question, MyVanPlanner was born.
